Charleston Recap

Hi! About two weeks ago, a few friends and I went on a girl’s trips to Charleston, South Carolina. And let me tell ya, if you are looking for the perfect place for a trip, go to Charleston. I stand true behind the “West Coast, Best Coast” statement, but the east coast is something special. I had been to Charleston about three years ago and it was just as dreamy as I remembered. The palm trees, food, people, and the fact that you can walk just about anywhere was just magical. We landed in Charleston on Friday afternoon and my […]

Hormones Part 2

Hi! I wrote a post about hormones about 2 months ago and it gives a background of my whole hormone/lack of period story, if you didn’t read it and want to read the first part you can here. Today I could talk about all the doctors I’ve seen and different medications I have taken to fix my hormone problem but that would be both a bore and a novel. Sooo, long story short, I have never once had a period on my own. I have had periods because of birth control or other hormone replacements but never once has my own body produced a menstrual cycle. I am twenty one years old […]

Disordered eating

Hi & I am so glad you are reading this. I have talked briefly about my journey with food, exercise, and all that jazz in some of my previous posts. To get a little background on that, check out the “my story” post. Two years ago, I was a freshman in college and had just started my second semester as a nutrition student. (WOW, still can’t believe that I’m about to be a senior) I ate all the “healthy” things. No added sugar, no dessert, no refined grains, barely any complex carbs, and all low sugar fruits. I have always […]
